Legacy

Thanks to Susan B.
I am free 
to choose between
lies and misdirection
money and influence.
Polite treachery
lurks behind every photo op
while scripted spontaneity
rallies the faithful.

She must be rolling
In her grave. As if 
the dollar debacle
wasn't bad enough.   
If I were her
I would wash my ghostly
hands of all of it.
Maybe at this point,
obscurity is a better legacy.
